Travel assistance by destination

Entry requirements, medical costs, and the coverage you need for each destination.

Every destination has its own reality: Europe requires coverage under the Schengen Agreement, in the United States one night in hospital can cost more than the whole trip, and in Brazil the most common problem isn't the most expensive one.

Where is travel insurance mandatory?

For Argentine citizens entering the Schengen Area as tourists, insurance is not a legal entry requirement: the EUR 30,000 minimum with repatriation exists, but applies to those applying for a visa (EU Visa Code). Cuba does require it for all travelers, and other countries ask for it depending on the visa type. Even where it's not mandatory, it's still worth it: getting care without coverage costs ten to fifty times more than the assistance plan.

How much does medical care cost at each destination?

Real costs by medical contingency and destination, in US dollars (Europe in euros).
